My process

Over the last 2+ decades, data backup has been a critical part of my routine in music production.  The protection of my project files, financial documents, and personal data, has led me to a methodical process of consistent backups. 

My steps should you seek my service: 

• Formats supported:  3.5 inch, 2.5 inch Hard Disk Drive (Both IDE (legacy) Sata, M.2 drives,  Floppy Disks (3.5 inch) CD, DVD, DL DVD,  SD, CF, Micro SD, XD, MS (Sony) Cards 
• If the backup is from a computer,  I will remove hard drive in order to dock into my system
• Load the drives in a secure Linux based system (practically 0% risk of viruses or data exposure)
• Compare size of of original with new backup to confirm consistency
• Return hard drive and recycle old computer if non-functional
• If functional, re-assemble computer and return
• Transfer can be made to the media provided by the customer.  Alternatively, I can also provide a flash drive for an additional fee 
• Depending on size, format and health of source device, the process can take anywhere from 24 hours to a full week.  Once the backup has been initiated, I will communicate the approximate time till completion.

PLEASE NOTE-THIS SERVICE DOES NOT INCLUDE RECOVERY OF LOST DATA FROM MALFUNCTIONING DRIVES.  IF THE DRIVE PROVES TO HAVE FAILED, I WILL REFUND 50% OF PAYMENT FOR SAID DRIVE.  

ALSO, WHILE NO FILES WILL BE OPENED WITH RESPECT TO CUSTOMER PRIVACY,  IF THERE IS ANY INDICATORS OF ILLEGAL CONTENT INCLUDED IN THE BACKUP (SUCH AS SUSPICIOUS FILE NAMES), THE AUTHORITIES WILL BE NOTIFIED AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
